Impact Futures Group, the UK’s leading training partner for health, care and early years sectors, is pleased to announce the acquisition of Captiva Learning (“Captiva”), an approved apprenticeship provider delivering impactful professional education through its established brands: The National College of Education, The National Centre for Leadership and Management, and Premier Pathways.
This strategic acquisition marks another significant milestone in Impact Futures Group’s mission to build a future-ready workforce across Britain’s critical service sectors, and strengthens the Group’s apprenticeship and training offering.
Captiva’s specialist focus on education, leadership and youth services is a perfect strategic fit for the Group’s market-leading training offer, enhancing its portfolio of high-quality, sector-specific apprenticeships and expanding its reach into new learner and employer audiences across the public, private and third sectors.
Deepening our impact, broadening opportunity
Captiva’s brands are trusted by schools, multi-academy trusts, local authorities and national employers for developing confident, capable leaders and educators. With this acquisition, the Group broadens opportunities for the organisations it supports with the addition of nationally recognised programmes including:
- Senior Leadership Pathways for education and business professionals
- Teaching Assistant and Early Years Educator Apprenticeships
- Youth Worker Degree Apprenticeships, delivered via Premier Pathways
All three Captiva brands will retain their identities and continue delivering their specialist programmes, now supported by the wider Group’s infrastructure, reach and investment capabilities.
Simon Rouse, CEO of Impact Futures Group, said:
“Captiva is a remarkable organisation with a mission that matches our own, to create life-changing training for the people who change lives. Their specialist brands and leadership expertise will enrich our portfolio, extend our reach, and help us meet the growing demand for training in the education and youth sectors. Together, we’re building something powerful for learners, for employers, and for the future of our public services. I am so excited to welcome the Captiva team to the Impact Futures Group.”
Captiva joins a Group committed to people-centred growth
Captiva Learning’s CEO, David Cobb, added:
“Joining Impact Futures Group gives Captiva the platform to take our work to the next level. We share a belief in education as the engine of social mobility, and this partnership allows us to scale our impact, invest in our programmes, and continue delivering the values-led learning we’re known for. It’s the right home for our learners, our partners, and our mission.”
As part of the acquisition, Captiva will operate as An Impact Futures Group Brand, continuing to deliver exceptional results across its core sectors while benefitting from shared strategic services, investment in digital infrastructure, and cross-sector collaboration with other Group brands. Impact Futures Group is backed by August Equity, a leading UK mid-market private equity investor.
Kate Cook and Celine Spencer at August Equity, said:
“Together, Impact Futures and August Equity are building a new kind of learning group: one that puts people first, champions public service sectors, and delivers measurable commercial and social impact. We are very excited to see Simon and the team complete their first strategic acquisition since our investment, bringing additional scale and a broader market opportunity to the platform.”
This latest acquisition reinforces the Group’s commitment to delivering training that develops careers with heart and skills with purpose, from entry-level roles to senior leaders.
